Our Mission
THE IDEA IS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO LOCAL WATER CONSERVATION
According to Datausa McKinney, Texas has over 68 thousand households with each household having 2 cars on average. The average American washes their car 11 times a year consuming an average of 40 gallons each time. This totals up to 1,496,000 car washes each year in McKinney. Most of the products used in cleaning cars these days contain some degree of toxic chemical. This means that the water used, which is now contaminated, must then go through a process to be cleaned and safe for us to reuse. This results in a net loss of resources that we via government now have to address through taxation of the population.
Texas Water Development Board is the organization that measures and provides to us data regarding water supply and water projections. Due to reasons including increased population growth all of North Texas faces some degree of water shortage over the next 50 years. This decade alone the McKinney water user group has a potential water shortage of 220 acre-feet/year. An acre-foot equals 325,853 gallons of water. So this means that almost 72 million gallons of water needs must now be met every year through some combination of strategies. The bulk of every water plan in North Texas consists of the same strategy: Water Conservation, also called Demand Reduction. Simply put, to have enough water in the future we must use less now.
Because of the reality described above Eco Drop Car Wash was created to practice and promote water conservation in the North Texas area. We utilize modern waterless car wash technology in all of our mobile car wash services. Also, we only use cleaners that are eco-safe, non-toxic, and readily biodegradable so that we do not contaminate the water supply. We also aim to demonstrate how a simple change in behaviors can result in a dramatic impact on our environment. Our waterless car wash service saves 40 gallons of water on average compared to traditional car cleaning methods.
What could all of this mean for McKinney, Texas specifically?
Let’s assume here that we simply change one thing . . .  What would happen if we just changed our car cleaning methods to strictly utilize waterless car wash tech? We learned above that we face a potential water shortage of 72 million gallons a year this decade, and we also learned that there are 1,496,000 cars washed each year in McKinney. So now if we multiply the number of cars washed by the 40 gallons saved with each Eco Drop Car Wash waterless mobile car wash service we get 59,840,000 gallons of water conservation every year. This makes up for 83% of McKinney’s water shortages. We still get to have clean cars, we do not have to rely on government, and we do not have to encounter some drastic consequence of running out of our most precious resource in the near future.
This is not necessarily easy to do, but it is very simple.
This is the reason Eco Drop Car Wash exists, this is our purpose, this is our mission, and this is why we offer our McKinney mobile car wash services via mckinneymobilecarwash.com. We appreciate your understanding, and we are extremely grateful for your support.
